About China Pavilion Chinese Restaurant
Located at 3017 N Belt Line Rd, Irving, TX 75062, China Pavilion Chinese Restaurant operates as a chinese restaurant serving Irving in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Irving; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Texas are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 11 amβ10 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach China Pavilion Chinese Restaurant at (972) 258-1111; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Its Google rating is 3.6 out of 5 from 300 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Irving is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Irving follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I ordered take out for dinner. After waking up at 4am for a flight then got stranded in Dallas because my connecting flight was cancelled. All I wanted was some Chinese Food comfort food. After receiving my order I did not get napkins or silverware. Now my family is eating with our hands and wiping them on towels in our hotel room. Not to mention my wife found a staple in her food! Honestly, if I was a local I would not order from here again and try finding anything Chinese spot.

I placed a to-go order for delivery and specifically requested fresh rice. I was assured it would be made fresh. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The rice was clearly not fresh, and the orange chicken tasted like it had been sitting out as well. When I called to address the issue, I was met with, βWhat do you want us to do? The rice was made today.β That response was disappointing and dismissive. Thereβs a difference between food being made earlier in the day and being served freshβand this was not fresh. For a $22 meal, I expect better quality and customer service. Fresh rice is a basic standard, not a special request, especially for a restaurant serving Chinese cuisine.

I ordered from doordash and was not impressed the orange chicken was pretty good but I was not impressed with the lo mein and fried rice. The fried rice wasn't even fried, just steamed with very little soy sauce and the lo mein was a little too soggy. I only gave 2 stars only because the chicken was good but it definitely would've been a 1 star if the chicken was not good. Disappointing.

Fried rice was literally steam rice with soy sauce no egg no vegetables at all . kung Pao chicken tasted like rotten chicken , Mongolian beef was full of vegetables , just 4 pieces of beef. Really disappointed .. wish I don't live so far from there and come back and ask for a refund .

So I ordered delivery during one of my comuter hotel stayz. I ordered the wonton soup for 1, but should have gotten the size for 2. The broth had such a good flavor. Needless to say, it didn't make it n the photoz lol π Then I tried the appetizer platter. Loved their sweet and sour sauce. The only complaint is the tiny container w/ a thumb nail amt. was jus a tease. I would purchase the sauce by the bottle if I could. So yummy. As for the appetizer platter, good variety had some really good items. My favorite was the shrimp toast and the battered shrimp personally. Crab rangoon was more savory than sweet, not my ideal, and definitely lacked filling. The spring rolls were okay again, not my ideal, but decent. I liked the sample of the 2 bbq ribz that was offered. My last item I tried and honestly ended up tossing after 1 bite of the lomein (that was a $2 upcharge) in place of rice and 2 bitez of the moogoo gai pan which I jus did not like at all. Definitely have had better and gonna stick w/ moogoo gai pan from the other Chinese restaurants that I frequent for it specifically. Other than that, I definitely recommend giving this place a try.
